On March 6, the Academic Affairs Office held a 2025 Cohort Undergraduate Concurrent Minor Policy Interpretation and Q&A Meeting, providing policy interpretation and on-site consultation for the student representatives of the 2025 Cohort who would sign up for the coming minor programs.

Prof. Xiao Can, Head of the Academic Affairs Office, systematically explained the core policiesconcerning concurrent minor programs, including academic training requirements, course selection rules, class opening criteria, tuition payment, and degree conferment conditions. It was emphasized that pursuing a minor must not affect students’ major academic performance, and students were encouraged to enhance their comprehensive competitiveness through cross-disciplinary learning.
In the Q&A session, Xiao Can responded clearly to frequently raised questions from students, such as course substitution rules, scheduling conflicts between courses and examinations of the minor and major courses, graduation arrangements for incomplete minor programs, and procedures for withdrawing from minor programs. These responses alleviated students’ concerns. Xiao also stated that the University would continue to optimize minor teaching services to support students’ personalized development.
